Developers key

Hello All,

I have joined a new client and they have created a new user id for me. when i create a new program it prompts me for a developers key, i knw where to find the developers key, what i wanted to know is do company have to pay anything for this license?

or just i go to the place and register and its free.

Please advise.

Hi reena,

1. If its a development server for which u are registing as a developer,

then its fine no problem.

2. Instead if its a PRODUCTION Server,

then the company has to officially pay liscence.

For Developers key Contact ur BASIS people they will give it.Then u will not face any problem.

Hi guys,

there is no basis guy,

secondly where can i generate key for only development system,

i mean the link where i go to , it doesnt give me the development system as different one, instead it gives me the whole sandbox.

hi,

in our office the BASIS Admin creates the user id's and then gives Developer Access. then only we can start development. So, u may have to ask someone who knows BASIS to generate the Dev Access Key for you. It's not available on the web.

Hi again,

1. it doesnt give me the development system as different one, instead it gives me the whole sandbox.

U are right, it will show only one entry. Sandbox is same as development server.

2. To cross-verify , goto system------->status

and then note down the Installation Number.

This same installation number will be there on the link,

for which u required developer key.

where can i see my production system on service place,

I mean what if someone has to register as user on production system or need a developers key for production?
