Developer key

Hello,

I've been taking care of SAP R/3,BW for 1 year.

I'd like to ask about SAP Developer key.

If I created a user by su01 in Dev machine, and get Developer key,

Would SAP count for this user at that time.

My customer is worried about the number of user for licensing.

Should not I create the users ?

Please let me know.

Hi koji,

1.They won't count / consider the users at that point of time.

2. It will give the developer ID

(so that your work does not stop)

3. However, they may mention

the extra users (they will consider only active users)

in their early watch report.

Hi Koji,

It depends on what kind of relationship your company has with SAP. In some organizations there is also restriction on user creation on development box. Most of the time its only considered for Production system but due to auditing purposes some comapnies dont allow creation of many users even on development box.
