Hi,
When we provide developer access key can we restrict such that they can open only a restricted group of programs. Is such a thing possible. Please provide some inputs into this.

Chaitanya.

Yes you can ... you just have to add the transaction number in thier profiles... urr BASIS consultant will help you for the same..
if you want him to give just developer access to all objects . .. then you can specify group as 'Developer'.. in profiles add R/3_Developer

Hi All,
Thanks for your quick response. Let me put together what i understood from most of you have suggested
I understand that if we need to give authorisation to say screen painter we have to put se51 in profile corresponding to the role for the user. This is not the problem i am faced with. Let me explain the situation. A user is given access to SE51 but can we restrict him to be able to edit only a few set of screens and not all screens developed.
Please tell me if something like this possible.

Chaitanya.

Hi,
By Developer key you can modify/create the code of customized objects. Restrcition group of programs can be done by assigning roles to the user.
Thanks,
Sri.
