delivery bapi

Hi, experts,

     My requirement is delivery header change for custom fields through bapi, only at header level,i got a bapi "bapi_outb_delivery_change"

But in this extension1 and 2 is there, i added my fileds in extension1 and appending. it shows my work area and extension1 has non compatible

in this only 4 fields is there, but i need to add 10 fields that is already appended to LIKP , can you give me the any solution with little bit clarity,is extension2 is useful, then how,

      the requirement is data is coming from 3rd party s/w , so is there any way to change the custom fields through standard bapi or need to create zbapi , can you please tell me...
