Hello SAP Minds,
Can anybody tell the logic for Delimitation.
Eg:
An employee joined in the Organization on 01.01.2007 then his Begin date was 01.01.2007 and End date will be 31.12.9999.
After a year on 01.01.2008 he got promoted and his designation was changed.
So the record will be looks like.
When he join in the organization record will be looks like.
PERNR BEGDA ENDDA
10021200 01.01.2007 31.12.9999
After he got promoted record was delimited like this.
PERNR BEGDA ENDDA
10021200 01.01.2007 31.12.2007
10021200 01.01.2008 31.12.9999
like this 2 records will be created.
Can any body tell the logic for demitation....

What do you mean with Delimitation.
if you wanted to select last record you can define the where syntax in select command with
BEGDA LE SY-DATUM and ENDDA GE SY-DATUM

Hi,
Are you not using transaction code PA40 to perform promotion action?
If so it will automatically delimit the records.
