I recommend 3 sources of information for Smartforms:

1 - The book from SAP-Press about Smartforms SAP Smart Forms from Werner Hertleif and Christoph Wachter (it is very good)

2 - HELP.SAP.COM (go to transaction SMARTFORMS and clickHELP > APPLICATION HELP

3 - SDN for questions and sample code on Smartforms;
