hi,

SALES ORDER:

The sales order is a contractual agreement between a sales organization and a sold-to party about delivering products or providing a service for defined prices, quantities and time.

A sales order consists of one or several items containing the quantity of the material or service specified for the order.

QUOTATION:

A quotation presents the customer with a legally binding offer for delivering a product or providing a service within certain fixed conditions

INVOICE:

A sales document used to bill a customer for a goods delivery or a service

It can refer to either Sales Order or Delivery document

SALES ORGANISATION:

Legal Selling Unit Responsible for Revenue and Product Liability

Sales Orders belong to One Sales Organization

Master Data Maintenance for Customers, Pricing at Sales Organization Level

Sales Organization Assigned to a Company where Sales Revenue is Recognized

Plants Assigned to a Sales Organization

COMPANY CODE:

Lowest level organization and independent unit where auditable Balance Sheet is prepared

Periods, postings, currencies, document types, number ranges and master data are driven by company code

Transactional processing between Company codes requires that affiliates be set up as customers & vendors to initiate intercompany stock transfers and perform related intercompany eliminations.

Most other major hierarchy elements are related to company code (Sales Organization,Plant )
