How to default a elementary search help as a first search help in a collective search help ?

Anybody came across in such scenarios? Please let me know if its possible to make the default search help.

In a collective search help for example for sd_debis for sold to party in va01 i am having 4 elementary search help, SH1 , SH2 , SH3 & SH4.

When I press F4 I need the SH2 has the default search help for the field.

How is it possible ?

open the collective search help say MAT1

change the order of the collective/ elementary search help

looks like search help follows the sequence as mentioned in Se11 search help sequence.

Hi J@Y,

The search help follows the sequence in the starting thats right. But wen I select the 3rd search help for selection and come back. If again I press F4 its going to the 3rd Search help(Last opened search help) not to the first search help. I want the first search help to be opened as default always.

HI for that, in the collective search help in search help exit you have to update the table ddshdefsh with

username as sy-uname , SHLPNAME as your collective search help & DEFSHLP as your default elementery search help. This will solve the issue.

Hi Jazil,

I have a same question after 4 years . In the table ddshdefsh we have the USERNAME and when we set the field to SY_UNAME it will set a default search help right ?.

My question is how do we set the USERNAME field to SY-UNAME?

Usally we do the Hardcoded value in the table entry . How to set the sy-uname value?
