Hi all.
i have a small question,
i want to deactivate(inactive)the code in production server,so that the user should not run the report by mistake.how is it possible in the version management.
please suggest me the technique.

Hi,
In version management, it is possible to retrive the older versions of the code...
But in order to avoid the user run the code in production, Try to use the authorization check (Or assign an authorization object) Hence those users who area ssigned to this authorization object will have access to run, Others cant do that..

Tanisha,
Go to SE38 and open the Program
Utilities>>Versions>>Version Management
By Default the current version will be indicated by TICK mark.
Check the Previous version based on your requirement and click on the RETRIEVE which will in turn ask for a TR.Create the TR and you will be able to get the Previous Version of the Program active.
Now Transport this request to Quality and check,if satisified move this version to Production.

The basis cannot revert the present request but they can overwite the previous request to production..
