DCOM connector with ECC6

Former Member

Greetings,

We're using a interface based on RFC supported on DCOM connnector on 4.7.

I'm aware this is no longer supported by SAP, but what are the real consequencies of upgrade to ECC6?

Will it stop working? or can be kept as it works today?

Thanks,

NB

Hello Nuno

I have moved this thread to the ABAP, General forum. This is not a PI issue. You might have a better chance of a reply in this forum.

Hi Nuno,

the DCOM connector sits on top of the standard RFC transport protocol so technically I see no reason why your interface should not still work.

The more likely issue is that the RFC-enabled fuctions you call may have changed between application releases and you may need to rebuild it anyway.

So the answer to your question is to test it and see.

Cheers
