DB layer

SAP front end is installed on presentation layer. Kernel & basis r installed on application server. I want to know which SAP component is installed on DB layer.

Hi Mathew,

No SAP component need to be installed on DB Layer...you can connect any database to SAP - Oracle, SQL etc...Sap Kernel will take care of snychronizing table/ Objects definitions on Application layer and convert them in relevant objects on DB layer..

All data objects and repository objects are stored in BD layer.

That is no sap component is installed on DB layer?
