data type conflict

Hello Experts,

Here we are passing data from field type FLTP No of characters 16

Decimal places 16

and Output length 22

and sign Ticked

to field type DEC No of characters 10

Decimals 0

and Output length 13

and sign unticked.

and i am getting a short dump. ( Actually these fields are from different structures of standard programs

and we are doing this transfer in z program )

Can anybody please suggest.

Hi

your field DEC NO is of 10 characters with output length 13 with 0 decimal places and the field FLTP No is of 16 characters with output length 22 and decimal places 16.

then how it can be possible because your source field is greater than destination field and the output length and the decimal places are also not matching.

I think you need to search ore on this .

Please paste your code for more calarity.

I am getting RFCTI from structure SAPWLPFNRM and CPICTI from structure SAPWLSTATC.

i have checked both the fields in the system and there data types are diffrent with diffrent length,

So I think you cannot transfer the data among them. because of incompatebility.
