Hi,
I have to upload data from text file into sap.
Date: How will the data stored in sap? Will this always stored in DATS format(YYYYMMDD).
Currency: I have data coming as 123,78. Will SAP accept currency data with coma or it has to come with decimal only like 123.78
Regards

Hi Ashish,
All the dates are stred in SAP internally in YYYYMMD format only.
SAP will take the , as decimal separator if the user profile has a similar definition for decimal formats.

Hi Ravi,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I changed my user settings as 1.234.567,89 and tried to send value 1233,89 into sap. But this value is not accepted in sap. Please tell the solution for this problem.

Suppose value is 10,000.50 then you should send it to sap as 10000.50

Hello Ashish,
Date: Internally SAP considers the date as YYYYMMDD format.
Currency: Internally SAP considers the decimal separator as '.' irrespective of the user settings. The user settings are only to display or to enter amounts in screen fields while making a transaction (an FI posting in FB01 for example). If you directly updating the database you can use '.' as seperator. But if you are making any manual trasaction or using a BDC then you have to follow the user settings.
You can check how SAP internally considers the date and currency fields by executing any program in debug mode. Date will 'YYYYMMDD' and for cuurrency the decimal seperator would be ''.' irrespective of the user settings.
Please verify the same.
Regards,
Pavan
