Helo,

Can any one help me how to create package in smartform. I tried to copy a standard program and it is asking for package location. Pls help me out.

Package is nothing but Development class. When you copied a standard program into a custom program, it needs a custom package name. Ask your functional consultant what package needs to be used? Usually if it is a FI program, we have ZFI package created in the system to store all FI custom development objects (so on n so forth).

Hi,

When you copy a standard program into a custom program, it will ask package name.So goto se80 ,give some name as (Zapplication area for example for SD it will be ZSD).give a short text to it..save it..ur package is ready..u can do it from SE21 also..

hi,

goto SE80 t-code

enter what ever packege name u want starting with Z or Y

press enter

then it will ask to creat a new packege

then click on YES

after that enter some text

and save it

when ever ur creating any new programs

it will ask for packege at t hat time specify ur ackage there

so it will store all ur programs under this package

u can create package also by going to table v_tdevc and go for create entries->

enter package .
