Hi experts,
I created a transparent table, now I want to modify it, but only the name and the type is active, the other fields inactive. So I cannot assign check table. What did I wrong? Why are the fields inactive?

Hi,
I think you might have changed the field characteristics some where in your table check back once.
Cheers!!

Hi,
Delete that particular field and again reenter that field.
All fields will be active then.
Thanks & Regards,

I've already tried it, but it isn't working. I don't know why?

You assign a check table by maintaining a foreign key. Click that little key icon while the cursor is on the relevant field.

The check Tables and Value tables are assigned to Domain when you are creating the domain you specify the Value table there, so that value table appears in the check table when you use that domain......
If you are using the Built in datatype then check table will not come....
Thanks

when you need to assign a check table you will not enter it manually - that field will not be ready for input
do it this way .
use se11 - put in the table name
select change
go to the tab 'Entry / Help Check'
place the cursor on the data element for which you want to create the check table ,
there is a pushbutton that looks like a 'Key' (it is located before the push button Search help'
Use that button , generate a proposal and ur check table will be assigned.
Try it out
