Hi Gurus,
Is there any people using BAPI_0036_CREATE to create budget for grants before? I use the test data to run it in test run mode, it is ok. But when I try to run it in batch commit mode, it always has error: "No instance of object type BudgetEntryDocGM has been created. External reference:" and "Specify grant". Definitely I already specified grant and external reference in both header and item input tables. If you ever use this BAPI before, please give me some suggestion.
Thanks,
Ryan
I will check with the functional people to see if there is any customizing problem in their side. Thanks.

Is the message being returned by BAPI_0036_CREATE or by BAPI_COMMIT?

By BAPI_0036_CREATE. I also tried run it without commit. If it is not in test run mode, the errors come.

I haven't used BAPI_0036_CREATE, but I have used BAPI_0050_CREATE without problem. It could be a configuration issue. Do you have GM up and running, or are you implementing it? Is there a long text for the message? If not, what is the message number and id?

The GM is just being implemented right now. It's a new system. It might as you say just be a configuration problem. The problem is that I can create a budget in GM_CREATE _BUDGET, but I cannot use this BAPI in conversion because it cannot work without test mode. The error msg id and number is:
E BAPI 001 No instance of object type BudgetEntryDocGM has been created. External reference:
E FMKU 026 Specify grant

Well, it looks like customizing. The long text for FMKU 026 includes:
The customizing settings require that you specify a as an FM account assignment element. You did not enter a in your budget entry.
(It seems to be saying you have to add a grant somewhere in account assignment). This may also help with the other message.
There are also some notes for this BAPI.
