Comparing GUIDs

Can you compare two records in a table by their GUID to see which one was created first? Do SAP GUID values consistently increase in size so that a newly generated record will have a larger value than an older record?

have you ever created more than one guid and compared them. i don´t know exactly - but in the guid should be the date / time encrypted. So there should be a possibilty to compare them. Just create 3 or more guids and have a look...
