It is said that for Communication User type logon with SAPGUI is not possible. But whether the system checks for Expired or initial passwords depends upon the logon method(Interactive or Non interactive)

I am working on 4.6C. This query i got as i was reading through the definition of a communication user and also from SAP note 327917.

See SAP Note 622464:

Users of type COMMUNICATION are subject of password expiration control but not able to use SAPGUI. Well, in such a case it cannot be guaranteed that a password change dialog is performed.
