Colour handling i smartforms

Hello all,

I am trying to add 2 sets of logos to a smartform.

It works fine but the background of the picture (the logo is a text) is not white. When I view the picture localy on my PC it is white, and print preview in SE78 it is also white. But when previewing the smartform the background colour is changed.

Is there a special way smartform editor interprets the colours? Or any other suggestions of errors you might think of... don't be shy.

When you upload the image in SE78, you should specify it as "Color Bitmap Image".

Hi Dude,

At the time of upload of image , you should choose the colour image.. Once you upload the colour image the you can use any , it will display as colour only..

but I have uploaded it as color bitmap.

I acctually tried to upload it as black and white once and then the background color of the image stayed white. But It is not an option since the text needs to be in a shade of green.

Hi Johan,

You try to resize the logo and upload again using SE78.

Or you can also try by changing the resolution for the logo.

We should select the back ground picture of one check box,when seeing the print preview of the structure also its coming correctly .

Check the printer settings,because system interprets differently for LOCL and LP01.

Thank you all for trying,

the problem is now solved.

When you upload a picture with more than 256 colors SAP automatically reduces the number of colors. This results in RGB 255.255.255 converts into RGB 240.240.240.

So simply convert the picture to bmp with 256 colors before uploading it.

Hi Johan,

This post helped me perfectly. I had the same issue with a rich BMP logo file that had a lot of pure white background and was driving the image experts crazy with no clue as to where the background gets a dull white color.

Your post was spot on, along with the technical reason behind the color mix that was happening. Changing to 256color BMP worked like a magic.
