CNTRL_ERROR in ALV oops

Hi,

I am displaying some data througm Set_table_for_first_display in ehich one column is editable which has serial numbers from 1 to n.

i am getting the dump RAISE_EXCEPTION "CNTL_ERROR" when i am trying the following,

Say if i have 5 rows  in  ALV display i can give only 5 sequence numbers in my ALV. But when i copy ten sequence number from excel and try to paste in editable column additional 5 rows getting extended and giving the dump.

Please help how to avoid this dump.

How did you code the paste, by default or using a method like cl_gui_frontend_services=>clipboard_import ?

That column is editable column. Just copied 10 numbers from excel using CTRl C and pasted to that column using CTRL V.

Strange, there is something in your code, when I paste more data than available fields, rest of data is lost or wrap from beginning, how do you trigger that dump ?

when u schedule Report program in  Background process U wont get Error,

error Because ur trying accessing GUI parameter in foreground
