Cheque printing problem

Hi gurus,

I am facing a problem in cheque printing from transaction code F-58. I have defined a new page format with 232mm * 93 mm and assign it to my output device by SPAD transaction code. For first cheque it is printing properly but when I am trying to print the continuous cheque it is giving one space at the begining of 2nd cheque , two spaces on third cheque and so on. Due to this all of my printing are comming down-wards from 2nd cheque onward.

I have tried by minimizing the page height but it was also not helping me.

Currently my Basis consultant is not available so I have to do all the settings myself.

I am using Windows XP OS, Database Oracle and Printer is

Wipro EX 330+DX.

Please tell me how to solve this issue ... It is urgent..

for your better understanding you can go through this thread...

Thanks in advance

hi,

may be it is related to output device, wether it is a dot matrix or laser.

Wow. I haven't done dot-matrix cheque printing since 3.1H. Mine was easy cause we used pre-formatted letter size cheques with the top being the remittance advice, and the bottom 93mm the actual cheque.

What Device type are you using? What type of dot-matrix printer is a Wipro EX 330+DX? Since this is not a standard SAP device type you have to use a compatible EPSON. You also have to know how many pins your dot-matrix has, 9pin? 24pin? This would affect the "drifting" you are experiencing after every cheque.

good luck.

Thanks for your help. Since Wipro EX 330DX this is not a satndard SAP printer so we are using epson 9 pin printer since Wipro EX 330DX is also a 9 pin printer. But here my requirement is payment advice( remittance advice) should be a different script and checque will be a different script and we will take two different printouts for payment advice and cheque.

Any further help will be highly appreciated.

I'm thinking there's something odd with the printer:

- Check if the dot-matrix has any presets for non-printable areas.

- Check if the do-matrix has an emulation setting. I remember our panasonic printer had an EPSON emulation mode on/off

- Try printing outside of SAP using MS Word and setup a test scenario, fake a cheque layout, to see if a non-SAP application such as MS Word can print correctly to the printer. If it does not drift while printing in MS Word, then it's definitely a SAP problem.

good luck
