Changing screen field length

Hi Experts,

I have a problem in giving Fixed value of length which is 40 chars,but it is not allowing to give more than 10 characters(Structure DD07D-field DOMVALUE (char-10)).But Actual length of domain is 40 chars.

Anybody can help me out?
