Changes in Production object

Hi Friends,

I have created on Z table for my requirement, and transported to the production. Now the user wants me to change the type of field when I am trying to change it, its asking me Access key.

Can any one tell me what to do.

You should not change it in Production.. change it in DEv & transport the change like you did it in first place.. remember to run SE14 ( database utility ), after you change the data type..

Yes I am trying to change in Dev only but it is asking request number.

that is weird..Check with your BASIS..

Hi Line,

Please check the User-Id you are using to make the change. Is it the same user-id with which you created the Z table? If yes,Please contact your BASIS team.

IN development system, change the object according to the requirements. When you save that, it will ask for transport request as the previous transport request is already released. So assign a new transport request and transport the new transport request in the production system after development is complete.
