Hi,

I have a requirement where i need to reduce the message type MATMAS to have only 3 segments in it and alsi these segments inturn will have reduced fields.. I did the reduction of segemnt via transaction bd53 and created a ZMATMAS message type i activated this message type via tcode BD50 and bd61 check box is actve.. still i m not able to understand what else i m missing to generate the idoc using this reduced message type..

Is filtering required in this situation..? how u do it and also help me understand the filering concept..

Hi Neha,

You can do filtering in the distribution model (BD64). Check whether you have correct change pointer settings in your system.Check if the setting in BD52 for your message types and fields are maintained or not ??

Hello,

First you reduce the message type and then filter it through BD64. Bfore that do maintain partner profile and port. through WE20 and WE21.
