Dear SDN users,
I have a requirement where I need to create change pointers for any change in a particular pricing condition (Ex ZZ01). We had to create a custom message type(ZCOND_A) for that using COND_A as reference. I have completed all configuration for this and am able to create change pointers as well. But the change pointer is always created (in table BDCP2) with message type COND_A.
Is there any customising where we need to assign condition types(ZZ01) to message types(ZCOND_A) to identify which message type should be used when changing this particular condition.
Please let me know what I am missing here.
Thanks.

If you are then please check in tcode BD61 checkbox for Change Pointer activated - generally should ber CHECKED...
And I hope remaining steps you might have followed correctly..

hi..
Thanks for your reply. But my problem is that the message type in the change pointer entry in table BDCP2 is not as desired.
I''m not sure which steps reflect this as all the steps as mentioned in this link are complete.
If you know how the BDCP2 entry derives the message type to be used please let me know.
Thanks.

hi,
When any change is done that changes are caught by change pointer and stored in BDCPS or BDCP2 table.
If you have applied EhP4 (NetWeaver Enhancement pack1 - SAP_BASIS 701), then change pointers will be stored in BDCP2. Please refer OSS Note 1165059.
To know more about how BDCP2 is effected, please see below link :-
