Can I change standard message type from Warning to Error.

Hi Lalit,
if you want to change the mesage type from Warning to an error go to OVAH , and change the category of your message to error(E). (category is the last tab with option no message/warning/error)

hi,
it depends...
start transaction OBA5 and enter the message class. Then try to enter the message number and change the type to error. pls. not this does not necessarly works for each single message, only for a few one!

yes, u can change the message type from warning to error..
but after changing into error type u have to enable the fields by using chain and endchain method.

Hi
We can convert the messages from Error to Warning.
But the Process consequences has to be taken into consideration.
Especially the messages related to some Std transactions are not supposed to be changed simply like that.
Unless the process/business recommends to do like that don't change it.
Take the opinion of the functional people also in this regard.
Since this message ME 039 'Delivery date is in the past' is related to MM/PO functionality
