Change company code

We have to change company codes, i.e. company code Z1 should be named Y5 in future. Of course there are several tables where CC Z1 is used. This change should not take place in production (we have none at the moment), but in quality system where we have a lot of test data in.

Does anybody has experience with this problem? What I could imagine is a report starting from the domain name (BUKRS), searching related data elements and the related db table fields. Then scanning the content of this table fields for a specific value (CC Z1).

Maybe there is a generic (not FI specific report) to do this...

Now I found out that there is a special service from SAP for such cases called "System Landscape Optimization Services". See also "http://service.sap.com/slo".
