Hi,

My knowledge of ABAP is a bit dated (15yrs ago) as I haven't been working on it. Recently I have been doing some OO ABAP in ECC and found it quite a pleasant experience. I have enrolled in a course for CDS views. I want to know if there is anything I need to brush up before the course. Any help/advise is appreciated. Thanking you.

This is probably too late but I don't believe you need any special knowledge to take a CDS course. It depends on the course though...

CDS views are created using a special language, not ABAP. If you're familiar with SQL and defining tables, structures, etc. in the dictionary (SE11), you'll do just fine.

Note that you will need a HANA-based system and Eclipse IDE to work with CDS views. There is a trial ABAP Cloud system that you can use. How to sign up and start is covered in the tutorials available here: https://developers.sap.com/tutorial-navigator.html
