Can not activate security audit

Hi,

I have changed the profile parameters in order to collect the audit files in a different directory than the default one. After I have restarted the server I got "Not active because of an error" in sm19 screen. I have removed the settings for the profile parameters and restarted the server. I got the same error. I am sure that the profile parameters are set as default. I have checked the audit status and noticed that the file status is 5. That is a "file open error".

why i get this error in the default log directory?

thanks,

Can you please give more details of the error?

Also check if OSS notes 440410 and 539404 help you.

please award points if the answer was useful.

Regards.

Hi,

I believe you are referring to the audit log and the parameters

rsau/enable = 1 (0 is default, 1 to enable)

rsau/SQL-Audit/filename = SQL_++++++++.AUD

rsau/SQL-Audit/logdit = /usr/sap/IT1/DVEBMGS00/log

Above parameters are from NetWeaver 2004s, in older versions they might be different.

to me it seems like the logdir parameter is not correct ... I expect you have configured and activated a filter in SM19!?
