Hi every body,

What is a Bom report?How is it created and what is the purpose?

Hi

BOM means Bill of Materials

Example: Take a CAR as example it consists of so many sub componenets like wheels, seats, body, doors, gears, break ,engine, lights etc

so all these componenets are put together called as BOM of a Car

Here car is a finished product.

All this data is available in STKO and STPO tables

first take a finished product/material from MARA and for that get the all sub components data from the above tables and display.

Its Bill of material report. You can use this Fm CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ.

Hi Srikanth

Every material will have BOM associated

Get the material from MARA table and use Fm csap_mat_bom_read

you pass parameters as

material number

bom usage

you will get data into stpo tables

here stpo you have field called component which is BOM for that material.
