Hi,

what is the biggest field that i can use in abap for data not just numbes .

i now that string is just 255 ,i need much bigger .

You can split your string at 255th character and place it in internal table, so it will wrap.

BEGIN OF gty_file1,

line(800),

END OF gty_file1,

use TYPE STRING, this is as long as desired (and memory is available).

Thanks ,

but i try to upload text file and (with gui_upload) and what iget is data_tab,

i try to concatenate the table (table of string) to one string and it cut the string when i check the string in Excel,

with len... the size is 255 and i get just part of it.

how can i solve it?

Hmm...

Excel wraps up the data.

Try double clicking on the top of the field in excel and check whether there are over 255 characters getting displayed.
