BEx Query developing

I wanted to know about the BEx query developing tool along with an example. could anyone of you please help me on this?

Wanted to know what is a BEx tool , where and why do we use it?

BEx query tool is a tool for creating reports out of BW cubes/ODS, etc.

you cannot use it with normal ABAP tables. Its Excel based.
