BDC_INSERT screen .&. is invalid

Hi All,

I get an error, BDC_INSERT screen .&. is invalid,  while recording the CA01 (Routing Creation) transaction using SHDB .

Do any one know what this error is ...? Please help.

Hi,

Try to run the BDC with Mode = E. You will get the reason.

Hi VS,

Once the recording has been completed, it doesn't allow to save the recording. While saving , it throws an error as i mentioned.

So it can't be run.

Strange! I have had the error when I have used the wrong screen number in my code, but to get this in the recording when saving is odd. Maybe it is something else, have a look at SAP note 459333.

If this doesn't help then please post your recording here, along with the number of the screen in error i.e. the error message as well.

When we run the transaction CA01 online , it works perfectly fine.

When the same transaction runs through SHDB, then additional screen comes at certain point, that doesn't come when we run CA01 online. I think the error is with this additional screen, which is populated while run CA01 through SHDB.

Have you tried doing the recording with "Simulate Background Mode" checked?
