bdc for notification ????

hi gurus,

i got one requirement where i have to display selection screen in that i have to mention notification number.it should check that notf number in table "QMIH'. if it doesnt exist it should give error.after tht it should call iw56 screen in background and i have to get 2 fields from qmih tables and have to display in iw56 sreen.

only one selection screen should be display then another screen should display directly of iw56 where the 2 fields should be present.they want these 2 fields material bautl ,iwerk in iw56.

plz provide me in details wht should i do.

i have created selection screen now next wht wht should i write in select query where should i call bdc.
