Barone software : Smartforms

Hi All,

I have been designing labels with BARONE software and printing them on zebra printer using scripts os far . My doubt is can we print them with samrtforms ?

I tried doing so but I do not get any error nor any output . Please advise me on this .

Hi,

if you want to print smartforms in zebra printer, first you need to read the documentation provide by zebra. This documentation will explain how to install drivers of the zebra printer into SAP.

I have already post a comment about that, but if you have problem I could find my old documentation.

I guess the drivers are already installed as I am able to print from scripts . I want to know will there be any issues to be considered when trying then on smartforms .

Nop,

if you can print SapScript that's not means that you will be able to print Smartforms. All that is explain in the documentation.

Hi,

We are using Zebra 170XiIII plus zebra porinter . How do I know wether the required drivers have been loaded or not ? Also in the link you have provided it says all zebra printer will not support smartforms , how do I know wether my printer supports smart forms or not ?

Hi ,

Normally when we design labels with BARONE software for scripts and convert them into ITF file and then we will import them into standard text and print them using zebra printer . The same way can I include the standard text into smartforms and print the labels on zebra printer ? Is that possible or what else should I look for ?

You need to check SAP notes(OSS). There are many OSS notes on this topic, especially related to smartforms and zebra printers. If you want i can post them tommorow.

The procedure you mentioned most probably will not work with Smartforms. Additionally the device types and outdevices have to be set up correctly for the printers.

Info: we are using RAW ZPL to print the labels, instead of SAP SCripts and smartforms. We have much more flexibility like this.
