I heard someone mentioning that BAPI is an old 'technology' and should be reframed from using.

How can I verify this?

Hi,

Well, as of now, there is no other replacement for BAPI`s. So no question of BAPI being called as Old technology.

What matters is the context. May be you are using an old BAPI and their is already a new BAPI or FM available for the same.

I don't think BAPI is an old technology too.

BAPI means Business Application Programming Interface. It's the way with external interfaces could communications wiht SAP.

Also in the newest technology (like Interfactive forms and Abap-Web Dynpros) BAPI are the standard methods to select data.
