BAPI for vendor creation ?

Hi All,

Do we have any BAPI for creation of Vendor via SAP Code?

I have come across BAPI "BAPI_VENDOR_CREATE" & this calls transaction "XK01" in foreground, so its of no use to me. DO we have anything standard available in SAP which works in background.
