Bapi for IQ04

Hi Frnds,

can i have any Bapi for IQ04. I tried with Bapi 'BAPI_EQUI_CREATE' but this is generating Equipment but not creating Serial Number.

actually my requirement is i have to create the Serial Numbers for material using IQ04.

i did this using BDC, but if BAPI exist then it would be good.
