BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATE

HI friends,

I am in SAP ECC 6.0... and I am trying to create a PO Contract using the BAPI, BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATE. I have an custom program and i run the prog just to find a msg saying :

'No instance of object type PurchasingContract has been created. External reference: # 1.'

While trying to create the same manually thru ME31K, i found that the Message output type is not yet configured and it says :

' No message record could be found for output of message. '

Could that be a reason ? Or anything else ?

Can any1 help me on this pls ???
