BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_INSERT - start/end date question

Hello SDN Community, Not sure if this is the right forum for a BAPI question. Please do not hesitate to re-direct if there is a better forum.

Am using BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_INSERT to post start/end times (plus more) to CATS.

Is it possible to just post the start date to CATS and then, let's say 45 minutes later, post the end date to CATS?

Or does the BAPI require the presence of both the start and end time when it is called?

Did some more debugging. I got a working theory that says this would work if i ran it with the start date/time and as BAPI_..._INSERT. Then 45 minutes later ran it as BAPI_..._CHANGE. Have yet to test theory...
