I have a standard SAP background job like BC-TRFC-AUTO-RESTART. I want to know what exactly this background job will do when we schedule in background. Where can I check/ what is the transaction to do this ?? Meanwhile what

is the transaction to schedule the job in background ??

SM36 : transaction to schedule the job in background

From SM37 select ur job and then press STEP button to know the program name for this job.

In SM37 i am not able to find any STEP Button rather it present in SM36 and it is not giveing any program name.

in SM37 (initial screen) give ur job name and put userid as * then check all check boxes under job status then press execute button. In the next screen select ur job and then press STEP button.
