Hello Friends,
I am using HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA funtion module for hiring new employee in system. We have the option to execute the data file in simulation mode ( setting parameter luw_mode = 3) to remove any error. The issue is on execution, SAP is using pernr number range. Example, if I run 3 records in simulation mode, it creates employee 1,2,3 but nothing is created which is right. But when we go for actual update, it creates employees 4,5,6 as number range for employee is used in simulation mode.
Is there any way to stop this FM from using SAP number range when running in simulation mode.
Thanks

Hi,
I also experienced the same issue for simulate new hire with this FM. If you are using internal number range for PERNR, i believe there is no way to avoid the number range to be increased.
The work around that I used is check the fields one by one before create the Personnel. Example, manually check the Postcode field, birth date and etc separately.
If you need to use the simulation mode provided by the FM, you either need to sacrifice the some personnel number, OR you have to use external number range.
If you have the other work around, please share it over here.
Thank you.

1. In HCM we make the configuration for employee number ranges and feature called NUMKR....
here we have option of internal number ranges and external number ranges
first of all check the number ranges are internal or external.
2. If number ranges are internal then u dnt need to give the SAP number in your specified file.
3.now Either u make the number ranges external and give ur own numbers and upload data.
4.or if number ranges are internal then dnt give the employee number and upload to the system.
