Automatically create attachment link for Customer Invoice

I'd like to automatically add an attachment link to customer invoices when they are created. Is this possible? If yes, how? The link should look like https://xyz.com/display?id={inv_id} with {inv_id} being replaced by the actual id of the new invoice.

Alternatively, I could add that link later via API, but this is no longer possible as soon as the invoices are finished.
