authorization object I_TCODE

Hi,

I work with MM (Materials Management). When I try to access the txn. AC03 (which is MM-SRV) specific, it check the authorization object I_TCODE which is PM specific. Can any one please tell me why this auth. object is chekced for txn. AC03.

Because that's how SAP designed it? And because the transaction isn't MM specific?
