I have a doubt ie

we usually assign roles to the user,then what is the need of Authorization profile.

2. why dont we assign auth profiles to the user,instead of role.

1st reason is SAP is designed to be used this way.

2nd reason, as profile is only a small technical part of a role you miss a part of the functionality when assigning profiles.

3rd reason, when assiging profiles change in a role will not be automaticaaly updated when the role has been changed
