I come across two tran : Tran AOBJ and AFX_WB , what is diff?

Hi Srini,

I have used for Transaction code AOBJ( Archive Object ) for both custom and Standard object.

In AOBJ settings we can create object -> Structure definition give the name of custom table for standard they are already placed. Customizing setting Give logical file path name . Maximum size (100 MB ) consult with Basis person.Variant for test and production mode.Content repository to be set.

Just take care as its a table is cross-client.

Also for archiving custom object check programs SFLIGHTA(Write), SFLIGHTR(Read) and SFLIGHTD(Delete) .

You can also check few standard archving programs listed in AOBJ settings like SD_VBAK.

Hi Srini,

The examples which is mentioned above are for table SBOOK or SFLIGHT table. These are programs are for demo. If you want to archive custom object(some Z table) with creation of Object for the table in AOBJ , and place the name for the required details in AOBJ settings you can check any standard object mentioned they how they are configured. Manipulate the demo program its very easy replace field names, object name and table name in respective programs.

Plz let me know if you have any doubt.

1) Tables from which you only delete entries

maintain Ztables to be arch and deleted .

2)developed three custom programs

for Write, Delete and Post processing programs

3) Assign three custom programs under Archive object

Is three configurqation steps are enough in tran AOBJ for custom object
