ARCHIV CONNECTION INSERT and ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_TABLE

Hi Expert,
could someone explain to me the difference between the Function Modules:

ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_TABLE

and

ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT


I had used the first one to save the data in TAO01 and its working fin.
But the usage of the second one is not clear to me.
