approach for data migration

Hi,

i want to migrate master data from 4.6c to ecc 6.0.

for ex: customer master data,

in this transaction some custom fileds are on screen,how to migrate those fields.

without changing standard basic IDoc type.

and also some custom structures n include structures in DAtabase table kna1,how to update those.

How to filter on basis of segment field.ex: suppose 100 fields r in table,i want to migrate only 90.is there any filter option in ALE.

tell me which process is best to satisfies my requirement.

and also give me forecating errors while data migration....

first upadte using standard idoc method after that you can use LSMW recodring method or BDC for updating the custom fileds...

hi,

suppose customer 1000 having one custom field.

if i migrate 1000 customer thru ALE,it ld update.

after that for custome field if i use BDC OR LSMW,custom field updates with duplicate entry of customer 1000 ,once again updates customer...

is it happens...

if i wrong ,correct me.

Use Modifiacation Browser for doing Adjustment any Custom fields in Standard Tables ,Transaction SPDD.

Use Informative subject and Don't use Harsh words in your threads.

Hi Amit,

its not upgrade,i want to migrate thru transport request only...

standa fileds thru ale,custom fields thru bdc means two time data update in database.

how can i avoid duplicate entries...
