Hello All,

i am new to SAP and learning through Online Learning Module provided by SAP,

My question is when we are uing append Structure  for a table to add field how does sap identifies the to which table it has to add the field ,as while in the content i was learning it shows that it is opening a table name ZEMPLOYEE00 and the going to append table and adding field without refering ZEMPLOEE00 anywhere when creating the Append Structure for Extra Field.

sorry if it simple for you , but it will be very helpfull if you guys can explain in detail.

Thanks,

Vikash

When you go to tcode se11 and enter table name then only you will be seeing Append Structure button isn't?

SAP already knows that you are working in a table that's why it knows it.

Do hope you got it.

Hi Vikas,

The append structure refers to the exact table for which we are mapping and it is storing in DD02L table as shown below.

For Table MARA, we have 4 structures as shown below.

They are mapped in DD02L table

Hope it is understood..
