hi to all

iam having a dought in alv, i copied a zalv report when iam executing the report i am finding the sequence of output fields in differnt way than to the original one,plz help me

also one more dought can i change length of the field in select-options or should i declare in internal table and change.

The original progam probabaly has a default layout which you are seeing. You will need to re-create these layouts in the new program and save them.

for length use <b>'VISIBLE LENGTH'</b> addition with select option.

Hello Kranthi,

Please check your field catalog of your report.

and change accordingly the column positions in order to get the correct sequence and also the output length.

Hello Kranthi,

This may be due the Variant layout saved in the old report.

CHeck the variant of the old report and save a similar variant in ur new report.

Whilre builting the fieldcat there is field called

outputlen

use that to chánge the length of the field.

Hi kranthi,

for getting the columns in the desired order set column position in field catalog and also give output length.

Also check that if u have given any key in the catalog.
